Stranger Things-review

Introduction:

In this series consisting of three seasons, we will find situations of suspense, action and some romance; Here the protagonists are a group of friends who must survive and fight against creatures from an alternate world of darkness, which appear thanks to the fact that one of the friends accidentally falls into a portal between these worlds, opening the doors for these creatures to their world.

 

The first episode was released on July 15, 2016 on the Netflix platform and the complete series is currently there.

The plot of Stranger Things begins with the disappearance of a young man who was returning home by bicycle, while a mysterious girl named Eleven with shaved hair and strong telekinetic abilities appears in the city. As if that were not enough, the existence of a parallel world known as the Upside Down World is also shown, inhabited by dangerous creatures who want to flee to the other side and devastate humanity.

  Characters:

Joyce

Will's mom makes this character shine. The scenes that she gives us from the first season are worthy of the so acclaimed actress; many of them are among the most remembered in the series. And let's not forget one of her greatest virtues: giving everything for her children when they need her most.

 

Steve

Steve's transformation from season one to season two was spectacular - going from a bad guy to one who helps kids no matter what was just fabulous.

 

Dustin

This highlights His obsession with the Demodog, his estrangement from the gang at certain times, but apart from this he is a friendly personable with a good personality.

 

Mike

he is one of my favorites because he never gives up and will always fight for his friends no matter what.

 

Hopper

This character has great importance and it highlights how brave and good he is with the gang, being able to sacrifice himself for the well-being of those who matter to him.

 

Eleven

She is one of the main characters in the series. She also has psychokinetic abilities and has a mysterious past.

Jonathan

I admire for his excellent musical taste and for being that noble and unpopular boy but with an attitude, seen from today, cool.

 

Lucas

the least charismatic of the 3 friends who always lived on Earth (Dustin, Mike and Lucas), this was also the last to trust Eleven.

 

Max

The new girl in the group at first did not gain Mike's trust, and he ended up vindicating himself by helping the boys at all times and dating Lucas.

 

Will

thanks to Will being lost in the first season we got to know this great story.

 

Nancy

Mike's older sister is one of the characters, who has brought trouble to this story.

Billy

The bad boy, the new in town, everyone dies for he.

A short summary of the story

SEASON 1

The first season begins in November 1983, when Will Byers is kidnapped by a creature from the Other Side (demogorgon). His mother, Joyce, and the town's chief of police, Jim Hopper, search for Will. At the same time, a psychokinetic young woman named "Eleven" escapes from the laboratory and helps Will's friends, Mike, Dustin, and Lucas, in their own efforts to find Will.

SEASON 2

Some new characters that arrived with season two were Max Mayfield, a girl who becomes involved in the adventures of Will and his friends, and her abusive and ruthless older stepbrother, Billy Hargrove. The new scientist in charge of the Hawkins Laboratory, Dr. Sam Owens, also appears this season, in addition to Joyce's new boyfriend, Bob Newby (played to the delight of almost everyone by Samwise / Rudy: Sean Astin himself).

SEASON 3

A year after the events of the first season, Will's friends and family discovered that the hulking tentacled creature he saw in recurring visions - named the Mind Flayer by the boys - had infected him while he was in the Upside Down. They also learned that some kind of tentacle vine was growing under Hawkins, spreading from the crack (still open) between the Upside Down and his own dimension and allowing more creatures to pass through.

This time our young protagonists will face not only the mind-lasher, a beast they have had to deal with on other occasions, but they will also face a group of undercover Russians who wish to reopen the portal. The epicenter of all these disasters will be the commercial center of Hawkins, since under this is hidden the base of operations of the Russians. And as for the end, it will leave you with a bittersweet feeling, well, I better not say anything else, what are you waiting for? Go see it.
